One of the better pizza crusts in Prague: thin, but strong enough to pick up, and tasty. A good selection of pizza toppings to choose from, and some interesting combinations: the Mesina, with bacon, red onions, mushrooms, corn; the Popay, with bacon, spinach leaves, red onion, garlic; and the salmon and spinach pizza, with a cream sauce. The pasta is also well-made -- standard fare, but a good selection of noodles to choose from. The beef is better than what you'd expect in a place that specialises in pizza and pasta. The inside dining area can be a bit smoky at times. A terrace in front of the restaurant is ideal on a warm day. The wine list is adequate, but not spectacular: mostly Czech wines, but a handful of Italian choices. Krušovice -- both light and dark -- is served on draught. One warning: service can be dreadful on the worst of nights. Carllino also offers free delivery (within 5km of the restaurant).
Recommended: Gnocchi al funghi porcini; pizza salmone e spinaci; pizza Valpolicella.
