Luka Lu

Újezd 33, Prague 1 | +420 257 212 388 | Map | Website

A casual and upbeat atmosphere, including cages of song birds. The restaurant has several small rooms with traditional Balkan furniture. The menu contains Serbian mainstays like ćevapčići and pljeskavica, as well as pork, fish and lamb dishes, and an ecclectic selection of pastas and salads. Portions are large, and with focus on meat and potatoes, it is best to come to Luka Lu with a big appetite. The service is friendly and sometimes overbearing, but can also be a bit slow. The Czech 'Master' dark beer is served on tap, as well as Pilsner.

Recommended: ćevapčići; pljeskavica; "Orač" combination.

  1. Not a bad experience, overall, but in our group of 10 people, there were a couple of disapointing dishes: the seafood pasta was a bit too fishy; and the pork sausages on the combination plate had a very strong seafood taste to them. The service was okay -- they were a little too aggressive in trying to sell side dishes we didn't want, and didn't need, given the size of the starters and main courses.
